# Issue an API key for your account.

`POST /v1/keys`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.japanfold.aiand.com`
- URL: `https://api.japanfold.aiand.com/v1/keys`
- Auth: one of:
  - none
  - HTTP bearer

Needs a session or an existing key. The key is shown once: only its hash is stored.

## Request body

- KeyRequest
  - `email` string: Where to reach you about the account. Optional.
  - `name` string: Label for this key. Optional.

## Response `201`

The account and its new key

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid request
- `401`: Unauthorized
