# Mail a one-time sign-in code. Also the sign-up form.

`POST /v1/auth/start`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.japanfold.aiand.com`
- URL: `https://api.japanfold.aiand.com/v1/auth/start`
- Auth: none required

Answers the same whether or not the address is known. Asked again within a minute, it mails nothing and answers `sent: false`: the code already mailed is still the live one.

  - `lang` string: Language of the mail.

## Response `200`

Code sent

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid request
- `429`: Over a rate limit, or the queue is too busy to admit this in time
- `503`: No Galaxy serves this model right now
