# Upgrade Player Subscription

`POST /v1/players/{player_id}/subscriptions/{subscription_id}/upgrade`

Move a player's subscription to another plan.

Nothing is charged now and the billing schedule is untouched: the cycle the player
already paid for runs to its end and the next renewal charges the new plan.
Naming a `plan_key` takes every setting from that plan in the game's catalog; any
setting sent alongside it wins.

## Path parameters

- `player_id` string, required
- `subscription_id` string, required

## Request body

- SubscriptionUpgradeRequest — Plan override for an existing subscription.
  - `plan_key` string — Key of a plan on this subscription's item. Every setting below is taken from that plan unless it is set explicitly.
  - `amount` integer — Charge per billing cycle, in minor currency units.

  - `recurring_amount` integer — Price charged once the introductory discount ends, in minor currency units. Accepted only together with discounted_cycles.
  - `discounted_cycles` integer — How many initial billing cycles keep the discounted amount. 0 means the discount never ends. Accepted only together with recurring_amount.
  - `cycle_period` integer — Length of a billing cycle in seconds.
  - `grace_period` integer — Days a failing subscription keeps its benefits before cancellation.
  - `account_lock_duration` integer — Days the account stays locked after cancellation.
  - `renewal_type` 'auto' | 'no_renew'
  - `is_pause_allowed` boolean — Whether the player may pause the subscription.
  - `is_downgrade_supported` boolean — Whether downgrading to this plan is supported.
  - `is_reactivation_allowed` boolean — Whether a canceled subscription may be reactivated.

## Response `200`

Subscription moved to the new plan.

- SubscriptionUpgradeResult — The subscription as it stands after the upgrade, including what renews next.
  - `id` string, required — Upgraded subscription ID.
  - `status` 'trial' | 'active' | 'grace' | 'canceled' | 'locked' | 'ended' | 'expired' | 'paused' | 'pending', required
  - `plan_key` string — Plan the subscription now renews on. Null for a subscription created before plans were recorded, which an override-only upgrade leaves untouched.
  - `amount` integer — Amount charged on the next renewal, in minor currency units.
