# MCP root (use discovery/actions)

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.agentstack.tech` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.agentstack.tech/mcp/`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `X-API-Key`
  - HTTP bearer

Root endpoint for embedded MCP.
Returns an SSE stream when the client asks for text/event-stream.
Streamable HTTP (MCP-Protocol-Version or a Cursor user-agent) gets a
comment heartbeat only. ``event: endpoint`` stays for the legacy SSE
transport, which tells the client to open a second URL.
Returns JSON for browsers and other clients.
