# Discover By Intent Get

`GET /mcp/discover/by_intent`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.agentstack.tech` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.agentstack.tech/mcp/discover/by_intent`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `X-API-Key`
  - HTTP bearer

Find tools based on user intent (read-only).

Accepts ``q``, ``query``, ``intent``, or ``search`` on GET query string, or
the same keys in JSON body on POST (SDK-compatible).

## Query parameters

- `intent` string, nullable: Intent description (e.g., 'create card game')
- `query` string, nullable: Alias for intent (legacy GET clients)
- `q` string, nullable: Discovery search term (parity with discovery.search)
- `search` string, nullable: Alias for q/query (discovery.search parity)
- `category` string, nullable: Optional category filter
- `tokens` string, nullable: Admin debug: comma GTPI tokens — adds gtpi_debug bindings
- `project_id` integer, nullable: Optional workspace project scope (parity with POST body project_id)
- `semantic_contract` string, nullable: JSON GoalSemanticContract (parity with POST body semantic_contract)
- `observed` string, nullable: JSON inverse orchestration slots (parity with POST body observed)
- `include_scope` string, nullable: When 1/true, attach catalog scope stats (parity with discovery.search)
- `domain` string, nullable: Optional domain shard hint for intent scoring
- `scope` string, nullable: Discovery scope global|node (parity with discovery.search)
- `focus_node_id` string, nullable: Work-graph node scope for hydrate gate
