# Create Collection

`POST /api/rag/collections`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.agentstack.tech` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)

  - API key in header `X-API-Key`
  - HTTP bearer

Create a new RAG knowledge base collection.

## Headers

## Request body

- CollectionCreateRequest
  - `name` string, required: Collection name
  - `description` string: Optional description
  - `embedding_provider` string: openai | gemini
  - `scope` string: project = shared project KB; user = personal KB on ecosystem cell
  - `home_project_id` integer, nullable: When session project_id is ecosystem (1), set this to the tenant project that should own RAG rows (requires read access).
