# The caller's platform preferences \[read\]

`GET /preferences`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.agentsky.dev/v1`
- URL: `https://api.agentsky.dev/v1/preferences`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Per-person platform settings: the default session budget applied to new sessions when no budget_cents is passed, and model-improvement consent. These are owned by the platform and reachable via any API key.

    - `default_budget_usd` string, nullable: Default budget as a USD string (e.g. '5.00') or null for no limit
    - `model_improvement` boolean: Whether conversations may be used for model improvement
    - `language` 'en' | 'zh', nullable: The language every AgentSky surface shows: the web app, the public pages and the Mac app. Null follows the browser or the Mac.
