# Send a message through a guest share link, as any signed-in caller holding it \[write\]

`POST /links/{token}/messages`

## Request

What the guest page's composer does: the turn runs and bills as the session's owner, and the caller does not become a member. Body {text}. Only a guest link (access prompt) can send: a view-only link is 403 link_view_only. Unknown, rotated, disabled and deleted links are 404 not_found. An Idempotency-Key header (up to 200 characters) makes retries of one message send it once. 402 owner_out_of_credits when the owner's balance is empty; sends are rate-limited per link (429 rate_limited with Retry-After). Needs a token with write scope from any workspace; the link is the grant. Output is read with GET /links/{token}/events.
