# Deprecated: use POST /plugins/app:{app}/add. Start connecting an app \[write\]

`POST /connectors/connections`

> **Deprecated.**

Deprecated: use `POST /plugins/app:{app}/add`. Still served exactly as before; every answer carries a `Deprecation` header. Answers the address the person's browser opens to sign in to the app and allow access. Afterwards the browser is sent to `success_url`, with `account_id` added to its query, or to `error_url`; the caller then records the result with `POST /connectors/connections/complete`. Both addresses must be https (http is accepted for localhost) and on one origin. Answers 400 `unknown_app` for an app that cannot be connected and 502 `connect_error` when the authorization cannot be started.
