# Delete project

`DELETE /v1/projects/{project_id}`

## Request

Durable owner-only deletion of Agentry-owned control-plane state. Requires a stable Idempotency-Key, fences new local mutations, and returns bounded 202 progress while cleanup completes. Agentry detaches or best-effort revokes its local PostHog OAuth connection; it never deletes or mutates the customer's PostHog project or telemetry. Exact retries recover the same terminal receipt.

## Other responses

- `202`: Bounded local cleanup or a pre-fence external operation remains; retry the exact DELETE with the same key at retry_after_seconds
- `409`: Deletion conflict. project_deletion_terminal_audit_conflict is terminal and non-retryable: the project is preserved, the caller must stop retrying, and an operator must reconcile the exact command and immutable audit ids.
- `428`: Stable Idempotency-Key required for an authorized first attempt
- `default`: Error
