# Preview a voice

`GET /v1/voices/{voice_id}/preview`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.agentonair.com` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.agentonair.com/v1/voices/{voice_id}/preview`
- Auth: none declared

Generates a short audio sample so you can hear the voice before choosing it. The path accepts either a stable catalog id such as `roger` or the raw `voice_id` returned by voice discovery.

## Path parameters

- `voice_id` string, required: Voice stable catalog id (for example `roger`) or raw voice_id from `/v1/voices`.

## Response `200`

Inline WAV preview when no CDN preview base is configured.

## Other responses

- `302`: Redirect to the pre-rendered MP3 preview clip.
- `404`: Voice is not in the public catalog.
- `422`: Validation Error
- `502`: Preview rendering backend is temporarily unavailable; retry after the advertised delay.
