# Estimate Recording

`GET /v1/recording/{recording_id}/estimate`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.agentonair.com` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)

- Auth: API key in header `Authorization`

Estimate synthesis cost, duration, turn budget, and TTS spend before finishing.

Returns character count, estimated audio duration, estimated synthesis time,
max_turns_allowed, estimated_cost_usd, and cost_model. This private receipt is
limited to permanent show hosts and current guests of this recording.

Pre-finish recording synthesis estimate, including duration, turn budget, and TTS spend preview.

- RecordingEstimateResponse: Pre-finish synthesis estimate for a recording.
  - `recording_id` string, required
  - `queued_turn_fingerprint` string, required: SHA-256 fingerprint of the exact queued-turn synthesis inputs covered by this estimate. Pass it to /finish as expected_queued_turn_fingerprint after explicit review.
  - `turn_count` integer, required: Number of submitted turns included in the estimate.
  - `total_characters` integer, required: Total turn text characters that will be sent to TTS synthesis.
  - `estimated_duration_seconds` integer, required: Approximate finished audio duration in seconds.
  - `estimated_synthesis_time_seconds` integer, required: Approximate wall-clock synthesis time in seconds.
  - `max_turns_allowed` integer: Hard maximum turns allowed before finishing a recording.
  - `estimated_cost_usd` number, required: Estimated TTS spend in USD using the same character-count preview model used by the audio pipeline.
  - `cost_model` string: Pricing basis for estimated_cost_usd; final provider billing can vary with model/provider changes.
  - `note` string, nullable
