# Start free signup

`POST /api/signup`

Create a free customer account.

Everyone starts free. Signup is email + store URL with no credit card required. Rate limited to 5 requests/minute/IP.

## Request body

- SignupRequest
  - `email` string, email, required
  - `plan` 'free' | 'pro' | 'agency'
  - `store_url` string

## Response `200`

Signup completed.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid JSON body.
- `409`: Account already exists for this email.
- `422`: Validation failed.
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded.
- `500`: Signup failed.
