# Service statistics

`GET /api/stats`

## Request

Returns connection and usage statistics. Session and usage counts persist across deploys via Redis.

- object
  - `activeSessions` integer: Currently connected MCP sessions
  - `totalSessionsAllTime` integer: Cumulative sessions across all deploys (persisted in Redis)
  - `totalApiHitsAllTime` integer: Cumulative REST API hits across all deploys (persisted in Redis)
  - `totalToolCallsAllTime` integer: Cumulative MCP tool calls across all deploys (persisted in Redis)
  - `sessionsToday` integer: Sessions opened since midnight UTC. Persisted per day, so a deploy does not reset it. Counts only from the date the daily series began — see sessions.recording_since on /api/traffic.
  - `serverStarted` string, date-time: ISO timestamp of current server start
  - `clients` object: Cumulative session counts per MCP client name (e.g. claude-desktop, cursor)
  - `toolCallsByClient` object: Cumulative MCP tool-call counts per MCP client name. Missing/empty client IDs bucket to 'unknown'. Values sum to totalToolCallsAllTime (invariant).
  - `toolCallsByName` object: Cumulative MCP tool-call counts per tool name. The tools we offer are search_deals, plan_stack, compare_vendors, track_changes, get_referral_code; counts against names no longer offered are historical and stay in the total. Pre-feature historical calls bucket to 'unknown'. Values sum to totalToolCallsAllTime (invariant).
