# Delete a contact

`DELETE /v1/contacts/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.agentboxd.com`
- URL: `https://api.agentboxd.com/v1/contacts/{id}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Deletes the contact → `204`. Its messages stay. `?forget=true` also stops mail from the address creating it again (the mail itself is not erased). Needs a workspace-wide key (inbox-scoped keys get `403`).

Permission: `contacts:write`.
