# Edit Application

`PUT /applications/{application_id}`

Edit artifact-level fields on an application.

Editable fields: `description`, `flags`, `tags`, `meta`. Editing `name`
is currently disabled and returns `400`. Prompt or model-parameter
changes go through `POST /applications/revisions/commit`, not this
endpoint.

## Path parameters

- `application_id` string, uuid, required

## Request body

- ApplicationEditRequest — Request body for editing an application artifact. Only artifact-level fields (flags, tags, meta) can be edited here. Editing the `name` is currently disabled. To change the prompt or model parameters, commit a new revision on a variant with `/applications/revisions/commit`.
