# Fetch Connect Attempt

`GET /gateways/mcps/endpoints/{endpoint_id}/connect/attempts/{attempt_id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `/api` (relative, and the document was published on a file host, not at the API’s origin)
- URL: `/api/gateways/mcps/endpoints/{endpoint_id}/connect/attempts/{attempt_id}`
- Auth: API key in header `Authorization`

How one consent attempt stands.

The sheet asks when the popup closes or the wait runs out without a message from
the callback page, which is how a result posted to an opener that is gone, or to
an origin the app is not on, still reaches the person.

  - `attempt` MCPOAuthAttemptOutcome: What the browser is told about one attempt it started. `claimed` reads as `pending`, and a pending attempt past its expiry as `cancelled`: the browser only needs to know whether to keep waiting, and how it ended.
    - `id` string, uuid, required
    - `status` 'pending' | 'claimed' | 'connected' | 'failed' | 'cancelled', required: Where one attempt stands. `claimed` is the moment between the callback taking the attempt and it writing an outcome, while the code is exchanged. The browser reads it as still pending.
    - `error` string, nullable

## Other responses

- `404`: The attempt is not found.
- `422`: Validation Error
