# Update a ContentDefinition

`PUT /api/v2/ContentDefinitions/{contentDefinitionID}`

Updates a ContentDefinition.  The body of the PUT is the updated ContentDefinition.  
            When successful, the response is empty.  If unsuccessful, an appropriate ApiError is returned.

## Path parameters

- `contentDefinitionID` integer, required

## Request body

- ContentSubmissionSharedBusinessEntitiesContentDefinition: The definition of the content for submission
  - `ContentDefinitionID` integer: The ID of this content definition.
  - `Name` string: The name of this content. Name must be valid for Attribute on PackageType.
  - `TypeID` integer: The type of content.
  - `PackageTypeID` string: Read Only. The ID of the package type used for this content.
  - `Description` string, required: The description used on the package type in the AGCO Update System
  - `Attributes` ContentSubmissionSharedBusinessEntitiesContentDefinitionAttribute[]: Attributes of this ContentDefinition
    - `ID` integer: The ID of this attribute.
    - `ContentDefinitionID` integer: The ID of the content definition to which this attribute belongs.
    - `Name` string, required: The name of this Attribute.
    - `Value` string: The value of this Attribute
