# RETIRED, kept live for one release: use POST /api/v1/scans/ai_visibility/config instead. Forwards to the same verb, so an existing integration keeps working. The dial widened from one lever (passes per question) to four (engines, question count, cadence, passes) on 2026-08-30. The passes lever is not adjustable yet, so a body that asks to change \`level\` is refused rather than silently ignored; an empty body still READS the current config and its quote.

The current level, the full ladder with a quote per level (passes, engines, questions, credit price and whether it is available), and whether this call changed anything.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid level, or a level that is not switched on yet, or the setting could not be saved. Nothing changed.
- `401`: Missing, invalid or revoked API key.
- `403`: The key does not carry the scope this endpoint requires.
- `429`: Per-key rate limit exceeded. Honour Retry-After.
