# Resolve bank code to institution name

`GET /api/v1/payment-method/institution/codes`

Resolves a bank code (SWIFT code or US routing number) to the corresponding bank or institution name.

## Query parameters

- `searchTerm` string, required
- `country` string, required
- `codeType` 'swift_code' | 'routing_number', required

## Response `200`

Bank code resolved successfully.

    - `bankName` string: The resolved bank or institution name.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid request parameters.
- `401`: Unauthorized.
- `500`: Server error.
- `503`: Temporarily unavailable: an upstream service failed or timed out, or the API is momentarily offline. Retry with backoff and honour the Retry-After header when present.
