# Cancel Card

`POST /cards/{checkout_id}/cancel`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.global.affirm.com/api/v2`
- URL: `https://api.global.affirm.com/api/v2/cards/{checkout_id}/cancel`
- Auth: HTTP basic

Cancels an authorized loan and voids the corresponding virtual card.

## Path parameters

- `checkout_id` string, required

## Response `200`

HTTP 200 OK

- CardResponse
  - `message` string: A message on the action taken on the virtual card.
  - `code` string: A code sharing the status of this action. The code will be "success" for 200 responses, or explain the error for 400 responses.
  - `checkout_token` string: The `checkout_id` of the virtual card.

## Other responses

- `400`: HTTP 400 Bad Request
- `401`: HTTP 401 Unauthorized
- `404`: HTTP 404 Not Found
