# Update a customer

`POST /v1/customers/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.affiliaterail.com`
- URL: `https://api.affiliaterail.com/v1/customers/{id}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

`partner_id` reassigns the customer; the change is recorded as manual attribution and shown to both partners.

**Scope:** `commissions:write` (or `write`)

  - `partner_id` string: Reassign; recorded as manual attribution
  - `metadata` object, nullable: Your own key/value data, stored as given
