# Reject an application

`POST /v1/applications/{id}/reject`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.affiliaterail.com`

- Auth: HTTP bearer

The partner is declined and told why: your `reason` reaches them word for word, and a blank one falls back to the program's default sentence. `application.rejected` fires.

**Scope:** `partners:write` (or `write`)
