# Upload an email verification CSV

`POST /api/v1/lead-scrapers/email-verification/file`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.aerosend.io`
- URL: `https://api.aerosend.io/api/v1/lead-scrapers/email-verification/file`
- Auth: API key in header `X-API-Key`

Uploads a CSV of contacts for email verification for the authenticated client.

## Behavior
- Returns `file_id`
- Send that value as `params.file_id` when you submit the `email-verification` scraper
- Does not verify the contacts and does not charge

## Validation
- **file**: multipart field. The file name must end with `.csv`
- An empty file is rejected

## Response `200`

CSV stored

- EmailVerificationFileApiResponse
  - `success` boolean: Success flag
  - `data` EmailVerificationFile: Stored CSV for an email-verification submission
    - `fileId` string: Pass this value as params.file_id when submitting email-verification
  - `timestamp` string: Response timestamp

## Other responses

- `400`: Missing file, empty file, or a file that is not a CSV
- `401`: Unauthorized - Invalid or expired API key
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded
- `503`: File upload is unavailable
