# Delete a terminal theme

`DELETE /merchants/{merchantId}/terminalThemes/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://management-test.adyen.com/v3`
- URL: `https://management-test.adyen.com/v3/merchants/{merchantId}/terminalThemes/{id}`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP basic
  - API key in header `X-API-Key`

Deletes the terminal theme identified in the path. If the theme is currently in use, you must first deactivate it using a call to the `/merchants/{merchantId}/terminalThemes/unapply` endpoint before you can delete the theme. 

To make this request, your API credential must have the following [role](https://docs.adyen.com/development-resources/api-credentials#manage-api-permissions): 
- Management API - Terminal themes read and write

## Path parameters

- `merchantId` string, required
- `id` string, required

## Response `204`

No Content - theme deleted

## Other responses

- `401`: Unauthorized
- `403`: Forbidden
- `404`: Not Found
- `409`: Conflict
- `500`: Internal Server Error
