# Get a tax form

`GET /accountHolders/{id}/taxForms`

Generates a tax form for account holders operating in the US. For more information, refer to US tax forms for [marketplaces](https://docs.adyen.com/marketplaces/us-tax-forms/) or [platforms](https://docs.adyen.com/platforms/us-tax-forms/) .

## Query parameters

- `formType` 'US1099k' | 'US1099nec', required
- `year` integer, required
- `legalEntityId` string

## Response `200`

OK - the request has succeeded.

- GetTaxFormResponse
  - `content` string, byte, required — The content of the tax form in Base64 format.
  - `contentType` 'application/pdf' — The content type of the tax form. Possible values: * **application/pdf**

## Other responses

- `400` — Bad Request - a problem reading or understanding the request.
- `401` — Unauthorized - authentication required.
- `403` — Forbidden - insufficient permissions to process the request.
- `404` — The requested tax form was not available.
- `422` — Unprocessable Entity - a request validation error.
- `500` — Internal Server Error - the server could not process the request.
