# Create a new video generation chain

`POST /api/longform-video/generate`

## Request

Creates either an automated or manual video generation chain. Automated mode generates all clips sequentially from a single prompt. Manual mode creates one clip at a time with user control.

  - `durationSeconds` integer: Total video duration (automated mode only)
  - `mode` 'manual' | 'automated': automated: full video from prompt. manual: build clip by clip

  - `generation` '3.0' | '3.1': Veo model version
  - `stability` 'preview' | 'stable'
  - `clipDurationSeconds` 4 | 6 | 8: Duration of each clip in seconds
  - `resolution` '720p' | '1080p' | '4k'
  - `aspectRatio` '16:9' | '9:16'
  - `generateAudio` boolean: Generate audio with video
  - `negativePrompt` string: Things to avoid in generation
  - `seed` integer: Reproducibility seed
  - `compressionQuality` 'lossless' | 'optimized'
  - `personGeneration` 'dont_allow' | 'allow_adult'
  - `sampleCount` integer
  - `resizeMode` 'pad' | 'crop': Only applicable with imageUrl
