# Add a clip to a manual-mode chain

`POST /api/longform-video/add-clip`

## Request

Appends a new clip to the chain, or inserts it after a specific step number.

## Request body

  - `chainId` string, required
  - `prompt` string, required
  - `imageUrl` string: Override input image (defaults to last frame of previous clip)
  - `afterStepNumber` integer: Insert after this step number (omit to append)
  - `negativePrompt` string
  - `seed` integer
  - `lastFrameImageUrl` string
  - `referenceImages` string[]
  - `styleImageUrl` string
