# Get sequence

`GET /api/v1/sequences/{sequence_id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://devs.adaptyvbio.com`
- URL: `https://devs.adaptyvbio.com/api/v1/sequences/{sequence_id}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Returns full details for a specific sequence including the complete amino
acid string, metadata, and a reference to the containing experiment.

Sequence details

- SequenceInfo: Full details for a specific sequence. Includes the complete amino acid sequence, metadata, and experiment reference.
  - `aa_string` string, nullable: Complete amino acid sequence
  - `created_at` string, date-time, required: When the sequence was created
  - `experiment` SequenceExperimentRef, required: Reference to the experiment containing a sequence. Provides context about which experiment the sequence belongs to and its current processing status.
    - `experiment_code` string, required: Human-readable experiment code
    - `experiment_id` string, uuid, required: Unique identifier for the experiment
    - `experiment_status` string, nullable: Current status of the experiment
  - `id` string, uuid, required: Unique identifier for the sequence
  - `is_control` boolean, required: Whether this sequence is marked as a control
  - `length` integer, required: Sequence length in amino acids
  - `metadata` object, nullable: Sequence-level annotations from the analysis pipeline. When present, may include chain assignments and framework region boundaries for antibody sequences. Structure varies by experiment type.
  - `name` string, nullable: Optional name assigned to the sequence

## Other responses

- `401`: Invalid or missing authentication token
- `403`: Insufficient permissions to view this sequence
- `404`: Sequence not found
- `500`: Internal server error
