# Re-check an account with its platform now

`POST /social-accounts/{id}/check`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://post.adaptlypost.com/post/api/v1`
- URL: `https://post.adaptlypost.com/post/api/v1/social-accounts/{id}/check`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Probes the platform with the stored token and returns the resulting `status`. Facebook pages only: a rejected token marks the page `unauthorized` (and fires `account.unauthorized`), a working token clears an earlier `unauthorized` mark. Pages are also checked automatically twice a day. Accepts the account `id` or the Facebook `pageId`.. Requires the `accounts.manage` permission.

  - `status` 'active' | 'unauthorized': `unauthorized` means the platform rejected the stored token: posts to this account are refused with a 400 until it is reconnected in the dashboard
  - `unauthorizedReason` string: The platform's own rejection message, when `status` is `unauthorized`
  - `checkedAt` string, date-time

## Other responses

- `400`: The account is not a Facebook page
- `401`: Invalid or missing API key
- `403`: The key's role does not hold `accounts.manage`
- `404`: Account not found
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded
