# Preview an RSS feed

`POST /rss-feeds/preview`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://post.adaptlypost.com/post/api/v1`
- URL: `https://post.adaptlypost.com/post/api/v1/rss-feeds/preview`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Fetches a feed without saving it and returns its 5 newest items with `text` rendered from `template`. Requires the `posts.draft` permission.

    - `text` string: The item rendered with `template`

## Other responses

- `400`: The URL is not an RSS or Atom feed
- `401`: Invalid or missing API key
- `403`: The key's role does not hold `posts.draft`
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded
- `503`: The feed could not be reached
