# Publish a dataset to an external platform

`POST /api/v1/datasets/{dataset_id}/publish`

## Request

- The document declares no server URL.
- Auth: HTTP bearer
- TypeScript: <https://skmtc.dev/adaptionlabs/apis/adaption-api/docs/api/v1/datasets/:dataset_id/publish/post.ts> (a function with typed inputs; its response is checked against the schema)

Publishes the processed dataset to Hugging Face or Kaggle. Currently returns 501 — not yet implemented.

## Path parameters

- `dataset_id` string, required

## Request body

- PublishRequestDto
  - `target` 'huggingface' | 'kaggle', required: Destination platform for publishing the dataset
  - `target_spec` object: Target-specific configuration (e.g. repo name for HuggingFace, slug for Kaggle)

## Response `202`

- PublishAcceptedResponseDto
  - `publish_id` string, required: Unique identifier for the publish job
  - `status` string, required: Status of the publish job
  - `message` string: Additional information about the publish request

## Other responses

- `501`: Publishing is not yet available
