# Raw mentions

`GET /news/stocks/v1/stock/{ticker}/mentions`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.adanos.com`
- URL: `https://api.adanos.com/news/stocks/v1/stock/{ticker}/mentions`
- Auth: API key in header `X-API-Key`

Returns raw news mention rows for a specific stock ticker within the live raw-data retention window.
**Professional account required.** Free and Hobby accounts cannot use this endpoint.

**Use this endpoint when you need:**
- article-level snippets
- original timestamps
- source attribution for raw rows

**Notes:**
- Use `from` and `to` for explicit UTC date windows
- Results are ordered newest first and support deterministic `offset` + `limit` pagination
- supported tickers with no rows return `200` with `results=[]`
- unsupported tickers return `404`, regardless of the requested window or offset

## Path parameters

- `ticker` string, required: News company key: 1-32 ASCII letters/digits with an optional documented venue suffix, case-insensitive. Examples: BRK, EADSY, ABX.DE. Share classes (BRK.A, BRK.B, BRK-B), hyphens, ampersands, cashtags and unknown suffixes return 422. A documented suffix resolves only if assigned to that issuer; other well-formed keys return 404 on individual endpoints. One issuer is one time series; ETFs stay separate issuers. Venue suffixes: .AE, .AS, .AT, .AX, .BA, .BD, .BK, .BO, .BR, .CA, .CL, .CN, .CO, .DE, .DU, .F, .HA, .HE, .HK, .HM, .IC, .IR, .IS, .JK, .JO, .KL, .KQ, .KS, .KW, .L, .LS, .MC, .MI, .MU, .MX, .NE, .NS, .NZ, .OL, .PA, .PR, .PS, .QA, .RO, .SA, .SAU, .SG, .SI, .SN, .SS, .ST, .SW, .SZ, .T, .TA, .TO, .TW, .TWO, .V, .VI, .VN, .WA.

## Query parameters

- `from` string, date, nullable: Start date in YYYY-MM-DD. Inclusive UTC date.
- `to` string, date, nullable: End date in YYYY-MM-DD. Inclusive UTC date. Omit to use the current UTC date.
- `limit` integer: Maximum number of raw mentions to return
- `offset` integer: Number of raw mention rows to skip for offset-based pagination.

## Response `200`

Successful Response

- NewsRawMentionsResponse: Paginated raw news mentions for a single stock ticker.
  - `ticker` string, required: Stock ticker symbol
  - `period_days` integer, required: Lookback window used for the query
  - `count` integer, required: Total number of matching raw rows before limit and offset are applied; only the requested page is returned
  - `results` NewsRawMentionItem[], required: Raw news mention rows ordered by newest first
    - `article_id` string, nullable: Article identifier when available
    - `source` string, required: Source publication identifier
    - `url` string, nullable: Article URL
    - `title` string, nullable: Article title
    - `summary` string, nullable: Article summary
    - `text_snippet` string, required: Stored article snippet (truncated at ingestion time)
    - `author` string, nullable: Public article author/byline when available
    - `created_utc` string, date-time, nullable: ISO timestamp of creation when available
    - `sentiment_score` number, nullable: Sentiment score (-1 to +1)
    - `sentiment_label` string, nullable: Sentiment label (positive/negative/neutral)

## Other responses

- `401`: Authentication failed
- `403`: Historical data limit exceeded
- `404`: Unsupported ticker
- `422`: Invalid period or query parameters
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded
- `503`: News identity lookup or database service unavailable; no Legacy fallback is used
- `504`: Analytics request deadline exceeded
