# List the images and videos already in a Meta ad account

`POST /api/v1/tools/meta_list_media/execute`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://adako.ai`
- URL: `https://adako.ai/api/v1/tools/meta_list_media/execute`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Lists the images and videos that already exist in the ad account's library, with the image hash or video id an ad is built from.
Use when: the user says the file is "already in the account", asks to reuse a creative from an earlier ad, or has a file but no public link — uploading it once in Ads Manager and reusing it here needs no hosting anywhere.
Do not use to check a file the user has only as a link; that is check_media, which is free.
Returns each image's hash, name and pixel size, and each video's id, title and length. Those ids go straight into the create tools as image_hash or video_id, and skip the upload entirely.
If the library is empty, say so and offer the two other ways in: a public link to the file, or an upload in Ads Manager first.

## Headers

- `Idempotency-Key` string

## Request body

- object
  - `arguments` object
    - `ad_account_id` string: Meta ad account id such as act_1234567890. Omit it to use the primary account; if several accounts are active and none is primary the call fails and lists the valid ids.
    - `kind` 'image' | 'video' | 'both': Which library to read. Defaults to both.
    - `name_contains` string: Only list assets whose name contains this text, matched case-insensitively.
    - `limit` integer: How many of each kind to return, newest first. Defaults to 25.
    - `raw_data` boolean: Return compact JSON only (no markdown). Use when you will compute on the result.

## Response `200`

The tool ran. A write returns proposal_id and approve_url while the change waits for approval.

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing, invalid, revoked or expired API key.
- `402`: Monthly task quota used up, or the plan does not include this tool.
- `403`: The connected ad account lacks the access level this tool needs.
- `404`: Unknown tool name.
- `409`: Not connected, reconnect needed, confirmation required, a proposal already pending or no longer pending, an identical create that failed earlier today (proposal_failed_before), a create that duplicates an approved one (duplicate_create), the ad-account limit of the plan reached (account_limit), or an Idempotency-Key reused with different arguments.
- `429`: Rate limited by Adako or by the ad platform. See Retry-After.
