# Find LinkedIn spend that produced nothing

`POST /api/v1/tools/linkedin_analyze_wasted_spend/execute`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://adako.ai`
- URL: `https://adako.ai/api/v1/tools/linkedin_analyze_wasted_spend/execute`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Finds campaigns (ad sets in Campaign Manager) spending without result: impressions with no clicks, clicks with no leads or conversions, and cost per lead well above the account average or a ceiling you give.
Use when: the user asks where money is going, before a budget review, or when spend rose without results. Run it on last_30_days — a shorter window on LinkedIn's volumes produces confident nonsense.
Do not act on its findings without checking tracking first: "clicks but no leads" is a conversion-rule problem as often as a creative one, and pausing a campaign whose leads simply are not being recorded destroys a working campaign. The tool says so in every such finding.
Do not present the recoverable figure as guaranteed savings — it is what would stop being spent, not profit.
Returns a ranked list of findings with the spend behind each and a specific next step. Campaigns below the minimum spend are excluded rather than judged on noise.
If nothing is found, say the account is clean for this window instead of manufacturing a recommendation.

## Headers

- `Idempotency-Key` string

## Request body

- object
  - `arguments` object
    - `ad_account_id` string: LinkedIn ad account id — the numeric id from Campaign Manager, as a string ("506699162"). Omit it to use the primary account; pass it when the user manages several.
    - `date_range` 'today' | 'yesterday' | 'last_7_days' | 'last_14_days' | 'last_30_days' | 'this_month' | 'last_month': Preset window. The "last N days" ones end yesterday, so no partial day is mixed in. Either this or start_date + end_date, never both.
    - `start_date` string: First day, YYYY-MM-DD. Needs end_date.
    - `end_date` string: Last day, YYYY-MM-DD, inclusive. Needs start_date.
    - `max_cost_per_lead` number: The highest cost per lead the user is willing to pay, a decimal in the account currency. Only pass it if they named a number.
    - `min_spend` number: Ignore campaigns that spent less than this in the window, a decimal in the account currency. Default: five days of LinkedIn's minimum daily budget in that currency (50 in USD, EUR or GBP), or 2% of the window's spend for a currency without a known minimum.
    - `raw_data` boolean: Return compact JSON only (no markdown). Use when you will compute on the result.

## Response `200`

The tool ran. A write returns proposal_id and approve_url while the change waits for approval.

    - `used` integer
    - `limit` integer
    - `period_end` string
    - `upgrade_url` string
  - `proposal_id` string: Present for writes. Nothing changes on the ad platform until it is approved.
