# Geocode free tier or key balance

`GET /geocode-credits`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.acuris-geo.com`
- URL: `https://api.acuris-geo.com/geocode-credits`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `X-Acuris-Key`
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in header `X-API-Key`
  - API key in query parameter `key`
  - none

Without a key: returns `free_remaining` anonymous geocodes for this IP.
With a valid key (header or `?key=`): the keyed response also returns `balance`,
`validation_credits`, `geocode_credits`, `credits`, and `trial_expired`;
`free_remaining` is null.

## Response `200`

Remaining anonymous free transactions and (when an API key is provided) the registered key's geocode transaction balance.

- object
  - `free_remaining` integer, nullable
  - `balance` integer: Present when valid key supplied. Equals `geocode_credits`.
  - `validation_credits` integer: Present when valid key supplied.
  - `geocode_credits` integer: Present when valid key supplied.
  - `credits` integer: Combined transaction total; present when valid key supplied.
  - `trial_expired` boolean: True when the key's trial window has lapsed (all balances read 0); present when valid key supplied.

## Other responses

- `429`: Too many requests (anonymous limit or WAF/limiter)
