# Adds a site instance to a launch group as a non-Published member.

`PUT /launch-groups/{launchGroupId}/member-site-instances/{siteId}.{environmentId}`

Adds the site instance identified in the path to the launch group as a non-Published member. Rejects with a `409` if the site instance is already a member of any launch group, or if its environment does not match the group's current environment (today's single-environment constraint). Requires the `manage launch group` permission.
