# Promotes a member to Published.

`POST /launch-groups/{launchGroupId}/actions/publish`

Promotes the specified member to Published, moving all domains assigned to the launch group from the current Published site instance's domain routing to the new one. The switch runs asynchronously and sets `status` to `switch-in-progress` until it completes, or to `failed` if it does not; a failed switch can be retried. Rejects with a `409` if a publish switch is already in progress, if the target is not a current non-Published member, or if the switch would exceed the platform's per-site-instance domain limit. Requires the `manage launch group` permission.

  - `environment_id` string, required: Identifier of the environment the target member site instance runs in.

  - `message` 'Publish switch started.', required: Confirmation message that the publish switch has been started.
