# Modifies properties settings for the specified environment.

`PUT /environments/{environmentId}`

  - `label` string: Human-readable label for the environment.
  - `description` string: Description for the environment.
  - `properties` object: PHP and server configuration properties for the environment.
    - `version` string: PHP version (e.g. "8.3").
    - `apcu` integer: APCu memory limit in MB.
    - `max_execution_time` integer: PHP max execution time in seconds.
    - `memory_limit` integer: PHP memory limit in MB.
    - `opcache` integer: OPcache memory limit in MB.
    - `interned_strings_buffer` integer: OPcache interned strings buffer in MB.
    - `client_max_body_size` integer: Nginx client_max_body_size in MB.
    - `upload_max_filesize` integer: PHP upload_max_filesize in MB.
    - `max_post_size` integer: PHP post_max_size in MB.
    - `max_input_vars` integer: PHP max_input_vars.
    - `memcached_limit` integer: Memcached memory limit in MB.
    - `operating_system` string: Operating system (e.g. "focal").
    - `sendmail_path` string: Sendmail path configuration.

  - `message` 'Environment update started.', required: Confirmation message that the environment update has been started.
