# List tournaments

`POST /v1/list_tournaments`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://mcp.acesapi.com`
- URL: `https://mcp.acesapi.com/v1/list_tournaments`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `x-api-key`
  - HTTP bearer

Use to find tournaments. Lists a season's tournaments in calendar order with dates, city, surface, whether it is a Grand Slam, status, main-draw match count and the champion. Filter by surface (hard, clay, grass, carpet) and status. Tour: atp (default) or wta; on the shared endpoint pass league: "wta" for the WTA. Costs 1 credit.

## Request body

  - `season` union: Year, e.g. 2025 (default this year).
    - string
    - number
  - `surface` 'hard' | 'clay' | 'grass' | 'carpet': Only tournaments on this surface.
  - `status` 'scheduled' | 'live' | 'final': Only upcoming, in-progress or completed tournaments.
  - `limit` integer: Max tournaments (default 100).
  - `offset` integer: Page offset; use next_offset.
  - `league` 'tennis' | 'wta': League. Defaults to tennis. One of: tennis, wta.

The result, wrapped in data.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid arguments.
- `401`: Missing or invalid API key.
