# Surface splits

`POST /v1/get_surface_splits`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://mcp.acesapi.com`
- URL: `https://mcp.acesapi.com/v1/get_surface_splits`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `x-api-key`
  - HTTP bearer

Use for a player's record by surface (hard, clay, grass, carpet): wins, losses, win rate, sets, share of games won, tiebreaks, deciding sets and 6-0 sets, plus the current surface ratings. For one season or the whole career; by_season splits each surface by year. Tour: atp (default) or wta; on the shared endpoint pass league: "wta" for the WTA. Costs 3 credits.

## Request body

- object
  - `player_id` string, required: Player id from search_players.
  - `season` union: Year (default the whole career).
    - string
    - number
  - `by_season` boolean: Split each surface by season.
  - `league` 'tennis' | 'wta': League. Defaults to tennis. One of: tennis, wta.

The result, wrapped in data.
