# Update Job Trade Types

`PUT /jobs/{jobId}/trade-types`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.acculynx.com/api/v2`
- URL: `https://api.acculynx.com/api/v2/jobs/{jobId}/trade-types`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Updates trade types for a specific job. Trade types passed on the body will replace those already existing on the job. If an empty array is provided, current trade types in the job will be unassigned.

This endpoint is rate limited. Use the `RateLimit-*` response headers to check current limits and remaining quota.

## Path parameters

- `jobId` string, uuid, required

## Request body

- JobTradeTypeCollection
  - `tradeTypeIds` string[], required: Array of trade type unique identifiers (UUIDs) to assign to the job. Must contain at least one item.

## Response `204`

Trade types of the job were updated successfully

## Other responses

- `400`: The request was malformed or contained invalid field values. Check the error response body for details.
- `401`: The API key provided is missing, invalid, or has been deactivated. Verify your API key and try again.
- `403`: The API key does not have permission to perform this operation. Contact your administrator to request the required access.
- `404`: The requested resource was not found. Verify the ID in the request path is correct and that the resource exists.
- `429`: The rate limit for this operation has been exceeded. Use the RateLimit-* response headers to determine when you can retry.
