# Update Job Lead Source

`PUT /jobs/{jobId}/lead-source`

## Request

- Auth: HTTP bearer

Updates the lead source for a specified job. The endpoint validates that both job and lead source belong to the company associated with the API key. If the provided lead source ID matches the current one, no update will be performed. Empty GUIDs are not allowed.

This endpoint is rate limited. Use the `RateLimit-*` response headers to check current limits and remaining quota.

- `jobId` string, uuid, required

## Request body

- JobLeadSource
  - `id` string, uuid, required: The unique identifier of the lead source. Must be a valid non-empty GUID belonging to the company.

## Response `204`

Lead source updated successfully

## Other responses

- `400`: The request was malformed or contained invalid field values. Check the error response body for details.
- `401`: The API key provided is missing, invalid, or has been deactivated. Verify your API key and try again.
- `403`: The API key does not have permission to perform this operation. Contact your administrator to request the required access.
- `404`: The requested resource was not found. Verify the ID in the request path is correct and that the resource exists.
- `429`: The rate limit for this operation has been exceeded. Use the RateLimit-* response headers to determine when you can retry.
