# Whether 50heads is working, and whether asking, answering, MCP asking or top-ups are paused.

`GET /v1/status`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.50heads.com`
- URL: `https://api.50heads.com/v1/status`
- Auth: none required

Cached for 15 seconds. 503 with the same body when the database is not answering. An agent should not ask while `asking` or `mcp_asking` is paused; nothing is charged while paused.
