# Retire an undeployed, empty 2-of-3 Safe

`DELETE /v1/treasury/multisig-safes/{safe_id}`

## Request

- Auth: HTTP bearer

Retires a Safe that was never deployed and holds nothing on chain, so a
Safe whose recovery kit was never saved does not block its chain. Refused
(409) once the Safe has code or any balance.

- `403`: Insufficient permissions
- `404`: Resource not found
- `409`: Resource already exists or conflict
