# Pair a browser bridge and mint its credential. Human callers only, behind a step-up re-auth: pairing is what gives a browser the standing to ask for credentials later.

`POST /v1/browser/devices`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.1claw.co`
- URL: `https://api.1claw.co/v1/browser/devices`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

## Request body

- object
  - `label` string, required: Name for this device. Re-pairing an existing label must present the same key.
  - `public_key_pin` string, required: The bridge's public key, pinned on first use for this label.
  - `bridge_version` string
  - `platform` string

## Response `201`

Paired. The credential is returned once and there is no endpoint that returns it again.

- object
  - `device_id` string, uuid
  - `label` string
  - `credential` string: The bb_ bridge credential. Shown once.

## Other responses

- `401`: Unauthenticated, or step-up re-auth not satisfied
- `403`: Not a human caller — agents and platform keys cannot pair a device
- `409`: That label is already pinned to a different key
