# Send a test delivery

`POST /v1/webhooks/endpoints/{id}/test`

Queue a `webhook.test` event to the endpoint so you can confirm your receiver and your signature verification work end to end. The delivery appears in the endpoint's delivery log like any other. It is a real signed delivery, so it is priced like one: it counts against today's delivery budget, and it is refused on a plan without webhook delivery or once that budget is spent. A refusal here never pauses a subscription. Authenticate with an API key or a signed-in dashboard session. Costs no credits.

## Response `200`

The test delivery was queued

- ApiResponseWebhookDeliveryQueued: API response containing a newly queued delivery.
  - `success` boolean
  - `data` WebhookDeliveryQueued: A delivery that has just been queued.
    - `delivery_id` string, uuid, required: Delivery identifier. Read it back from the endpoint's delivery log.
    - `event_id` string, uuid, required: Event identifier carried in the delivered payload.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid request: a parameter, symbol, interval, cursor or time range failed validation. See `error_code`.
- `401`: Authentication required: the API key is missing or invalid.
- `404`: Not found. `not_found`: the resource id is unknown. `unsupported_for_venue`: the venue does not offer this datatype (`available_on` names where it is served). `route_not_found`: no route matches the path.
- `409`: Today's delivery budget is already spent, so the test event was not queued. Send it after the budget resets.
- `429`: Rate limit, concurrency limit or monthly credits exceeded. See `error_code`.
- `default`: Any other error. The body is an `ErrorResponse`; branch on `error_code`. A 503 (`upstream_unavailable`) carries `Retry-After`.
