# Add a watched wallet address

`POST /v1/webhooks/addresses`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.0xarchive.io`
- URL: `https://api.0xarchive.io/v1/webhooks/addresses`
- Auth: API key in header `X-API-Key`

Add a wallet so address scoped event types can report on it. Adding a wallet that is already watched changes nothing and does not count against the cap again. Hyperliquid bridge system addresses are refused, because such an address is a counterparty to every bridge movement of its token rather than an account. A plan without webhook delivery, or one already at its watched wallet cap, is refused with the reason and the way forward. Authenticate with an API key or a signed-in dashboard session. Costs no credits.

## Request body

- WebhookWatchedAddressCreateRequest: A wallet to add to your watched list.
  - `address` string, required: A 0x prefixed 40 hex character wallet address. Stored lowercase.
  - `label` string: Your own label for the wallet. At most 64 characters.

## Response `200`

The watched wallet address

- ApiResponseWebhookWatchedAddress: API response containing one watched wallet address.
  - `success` boolean
  - `data` WebhookWatchedAddress: A wallet on your watched list. Address scoped event types report only on these.
    - `id` string, uuid, required: Watched address identifier.
    - `address` string, required: The wallet, stored lowercase.
    - `label` string, required: Your own label for the wallet. At most 64 characters.
    - `created_at` string, date-time, required: When the wallet was added.
  - `limit` integer: Watched wallets this plan allows.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid request: a parameter, symbol, interval, cursor or time range failed validation. See `error_code`.
- `401`: Authentication required: the API key is missing or invalid.
- `429`: Rate limit, concurrency limit or monthly credits exceeded. See `error_code`.
- `default`: Any other error. The body is an `ErrorResponse`; branch on `error_code`. A 503 (`upstream_unavailable`) carries `Retry-After`.
